SAIC Hongyan Sales Up by 43% in July

In July, China’s sales volume of heavy-duty trucks stood at 74,700 units, down by 17.24% year on year.

Dongfeng (13,800 units), FAW Jiefang (13,400 units), CNHTC (13,300 units), Shaanqi (10,900 units) and BAIC Foton (8,703 units) were the top five players in the heavy-duty truck industry in July with their combined sales volume reaching 60,200 units.

Among the top ten players in the industry in July, only three enterprises recorded positive growth in their sales: SAIC Hongyan (42.71%), XCMG (15.66%), CAMC (13.40%).

Compared with their sales volumes in the same period last year, all the top five players recorded varied degrees of downward movement. FAW Jiefang witnessed the sharpest drop with its sales volume down by 40% year on year. CNHTC and Shaanqi also recorded two-digit decrease.

From January to July this year, China’s sales volume of heavy-duty trucks reached 746,400 units, up by 10.76% year on year. FAW Jiefang, with its sales volume accounting for 25% of the whole market in the first seven months this year, took the leading position in the heavy-duty truck market.
