Production and Sales of Light Trucks and Micro Trucks in July

www.chinatrucks.com: Statistics of CAAM indicated that Chinese truck manufacturers produced 197,820 units and sold 212,328 units of trucks (incomplete truck and semi-tractor and trailer included) in July, 2014, down by 3.57% and 7.49% respectively over last month, and down by 18.04% and 11% respectively year on year.

Production and sales of light trucks:

In July, the production and sales volumes of light trucks (incomplete truck included) were 98,542 units and 111,072 units, down by 0.92% and up by 1.19% respectively compared with last month, down by 28.75% and 16.94% respectively year on year.

And top 5 light truck makers on sales were Beiqi Foton, JMC, Dongfeng,JAC and Great Wall Motors, that their sales volumes in sequence were 17,813 units, 13,663 units, 13,054 units, 12,059 units and 8,974 units, and they totally sold 65,563 units, taking 59.03% shares.

According to the chart, three of the top 5 light trucks companies made fewer units of truck than they did in the last month. And NO.1 Beiqi Foton and NO.2 JMC achieved up growth compared with last month and last year.

Top 5 light truck manufacturers on production were Beiqi Foton, JMC, JAC, Dongfeng and Great Wall Motors, that their production volumes in sequence were 17,445 units, 13,120 units, 11,825 units, 9,666 units and 8,812 units, and all together they produced 60,868 units, taking 61.77% shares of the total 98,542 units production volumes.

According to the chart, except the production of Great Wall Motors declined, other four makers all achieved growth over last month. But only the production volumes of JMC increased by 2.59% year-earlier.

Production and sales of micro truck:

In July, the production and sales volumes of micro trucks (incomplete truck included) were 35,190 units and 35,658 units, down by 4.43% and 8.38% respectively compared with last month, up by 2.6% and 4.11% respectively year on year.

And top 5 micro truck makers on sales were SAIC GM Wuling, Beiqi Foton, Chongqing Changan, Dongfeng and Shandong Kama, that their sales volumes in sequence were 15,598 units, 6,119 units, 5,176 units, 3,822 units and 1,349 units, and they totally sold 32,064 units, taking 89.92% shares.

According to the chart, the sales volumes of Shandong Kama has a whoop growth of 156.46% compared with June and 32.38% year on year thus Kama reached in the top 5 ranking in July. GM Wuling took 43.47% market shares of the micro truck industry which ranked NO.1 stablely.

Top 5 micro truck manufacturers on production were SAIC GM Wuling, Chongqing Changan, Beiqi Foton, Dongfeng and Chery Motors, that their production volumes in sequence were 15,207 units, 6,246 units, 5,824 units, 2,875 units and 1,174 units, and all together they produced 31,326 units, taking 89.02% shares of the total 35,190 units production volumes.

The chart shows that the growth of Wuling and Chery increased. Except the production of Beiqi Foton and Dongfeng declined compared with 2013, other three companies all achieved up growth.
