Analysis of truck export in May
www.chinatrucks.com: According to statistics from CAAM, truck markets this year decreased rather fast and clear, and sales of heavy trucks declined since April and in May the sales decreased rather clearly, especially tractors. 83,036 heavy trucks were sold out by twenty-nine China major truck makers in May, and the sales volumes were 479,489 units from Jan. to May. 27,311 trucks were exported in May, and 13,663 units were heavy trucks, especially 20-ton above cargo vans. 2,652 dumpers were exported, 7,870 semi-trailers were exported, and 77 van chassis more than 14 tons were exported, and 3,126 special vehicles were exported.
Contribution rate of heavy trucks was only 7.5% in May.
China commercial vehicles export started to recover in May. 33,183 commercial vehicles were exported, up 10.41% over April and up 31.03% over last year, and the sales revenues were 644,226,587 USD, up 14.45% over April and up 69.25% over last year. And 143,843 commercial vehicles were exported from Jan. to May, up 34.98% over last year, and the sales revenues were 2,566,733,446 USD, up 37.22%.
1. Heavy vans over 14 tons
28624 cargo vans were exported in May, up 11.73% over April. And 326 cargo vans between 14 tons and 20 tons were exported in May, down 32.08% over April, and the sales revenues were 7,064,672 USD, down 38.57% over April. And 1,858 cargo vans between 14 tons and 20 tons were exported from Jan. to May, up 67.69% over last year, and the sales revenues were 48,428,037 USD, up 53.76% over last year.
3,433 cargo vans over 20 tons were exported, up 11.28% over April, and up 61.33% over last year, and sales revenues were 142,621,334 USD, up 14.63 % over April and up 69.49% over last year. 11,805 cargo vans over 20 tons were exported from Jan. to May, up 25.83% over last year, and sales revenues were 488,530,395 USD, up 31.36% over.
2. Dumper market
Dumper export was largely affected by the declining needs in Vietnam in May. And 679 dumpers were exported, up 59.02% over April, and up 107.65% over last year, and the sales revenues were 30,033,082 USD, up 81.84% over April and up 264.37% over last year. 2,652 dumpers were exported from Jan. to May, up 97.62% over last year, and the sales revenues were 160,940,839 USD, up 282.52%.
3. Semi-trailers
2,539 semi-trailers were exported in May, up 98.02% over April, up 119.07% over last year, and the sales revenues were 94,966,101 USD, up 135.40% over last year. And 7,870 semi-trailers were exported from Jan. to May, up 21.81% over last year, and the sales revenues were 305,900,625 USD, up 22.72%.
4. Heavy truck chassis
31 cargo van chassis more than 14 tons were exported in May, up 40.91% over April, and up 158.33% over last year, and the sales revenues were 1,226,962 USD, up 48.06% over April, and up 228.74% over last year. And 77 such chassis were exported from Jan. to May, up 8.45%.
5. Heavy special vehicles
316 road cranes were exported in May, 64 fire fighters were exported, 29 oil drillers, 1,119 cement mixer trucks were exported in May. And the sales revenues were 58,065,640 USD, up 49.29%.
6. Exported areas
The largest export area for China auto is Brazil, and 40,733 trucks were exported in May, up 686.96%, and then it is Algeria, and 28,187 trucks were exported there, up 44.47%. And the largest China commercial vehicle country is Algeria, and 23,730 China commercial vehicles were exported, and then it is Brazil, and 15,176 commercial vehicles were exported there. Algeria is also the largest target market for cargo vans.
