XCMG Exports a Large Batch of Electric Mining Trucks to Africa
After traveling over 10,000 kilometers, XCMG’s first large-scale shipment of electric mining trucks, model XGE105, has arrived at a major mining site in Africa, bringing a new level of power and efficiency to local mining operations.
This mining site is one of the largest undeveloped iron ore deposits in the world, known for its high-quality reserves, with ore grades nearly double that of standard iron ore and a total resource of close to 5 billion tons.
The XCMG XGE105 electric mining trucks are designed specifically for the challenging conditions of mining. They come equipped with specialized components, including a permanent magnet synchronous electric drive system, heavy-duty axles, a durable, shock-resistant, maintenance-free battery, and an energy recovery system. The trucks also feature advanced suspension systems to improve stability. Tested rigorously across different regions, the XGE105 has already clocked over 100,000 kilometers per vehicle and logged more than 1,200 days of operation in various countries, earning a strong reputation for reliability and uptime.
To ensure high efficiency on site, XCMG provides extensive after-sales support. This includes technical training, spare parts storage, on-site services, regular maintenance, and dedicated parts inventory. XCMG also plans to establish a local remanufacturing center to further support the project with rebuilt parts and ongoing technical assistance.
A project representative shared, “We are excited to work with XCMG on this significant project and look forward to contributing to the development of the local community.”
Looking ahead, XCMG will continue advancing its global strategy, focusing on high-quality growth in overseas markets. With solutions that are safe, smart, and low-carbon, XCMG is committed to promoting sustainable mining worldwide through its trusted products and technology.
