Dongfeng Sold 12,200 Units Commercial Vehicles in May
On June 4, Dongfeng Motor Corporation (hereafter referred to as Dongfeng) released a report about its production and sales in May. According to the report, the automaker produced 10,500 units commercial vehicles and sold 12,200 units in May. More specifically, it sold 552 units complete buses (176 units medium buses and 376 units light buses) and 1,578 units non-complete buses. Also in May, the company sold 5,918 units light trucks and 4,180 units non-complete trucks.
From January to May this year, the company’s total production and sales of commercial vehicles reached 60,700 units and 65,500 units respectively. Its sales volume of complete and non-complete buses in this period totaled 2,064 units and 5,638 units respectively, down by 17.41% and 23.61% year on year. Its sales of medium buses stood at 415 units, down by 37.41% year on year and its sales of light buses stood at 1,649 units, down by 10.19%. Also from January to May, the company recorded a sales of 33,000 units light trucks and 24,800 units non-complete trucks, up by 29.65% and 10.08% year on year respectively.
