Production and Sales of Light Trucks and Micro Trucks in August

www.chinatrucks.com: Statistics of CAAM indicated that Chinese truck manufacturers produced 182,784 units and sold 197,744 units of trucks (incomplete truck and semi-tractor and trailer included) in August, 2014, down by 7.60% and 6.87% respectively over last month, and down by 26.03% and 21.08% respectively year on year.

Production and sales of light trucks:

In August, the production and sales volumes of light trucks (incomplete truck included) were 87,688 units and 93,331 units, down by 11.01% and 15.97% respectively compared with last month, down by 37.41% and 34.36% respectively year on year.

And top 5 light truck makers on production were Beiqi Foton, JMC, Dongfeng, Jinbei and Great Wall Motors, that their production volumes in sequence were 16,320 units, 11,127 units, 9,062 units, 8,407 units and 7,416 units, and they totally produced 52,332 units, taking 59.67% shares.

Top 5 light truck manufacturers on sales were Beiqi Foton, JMC, Dongfeng, JAC and Great Wall Motors, that their sales volumes in sequence were 15,038 units, 10,181 units, 10,039 units, 9,366 units and 8,369 units, and all together they sold 52,993 units, taking 56.78% shares of the total 93,331 units sales volumes.
 

Production and sales of micro truck:

In August, the production and sales volumes of micro trucks (incomplete truck included) were 35,729 units and 40,178 units, down by 1.53% and 12.68% respectively compared with last month, down by 3.48% and up by 1.53% respectively year on year.

And top 5 micro truck makers on production were SAIC GM Wuling, Beiqi Foton, Dongfeng, Chongqing Changan and Chery, that their production volumes in sequence were 17,996 units, 6,230 units, 4,727 units, 3,227 units and 1,281 units, and they totally produced 33,461 units, taking 93.65% shares.

Top 5 micro truck manufacturers on sales were SAIC GM Wuling, Beiqi Foton, Chongqing Changan, Dongfeng and Chery, that their sales volumes in sequence were 21,735 units, 6,230 units, 4,518 units, 4,200 units and 1,123 units, and all together they sold 37,806 units, taking 94.10% shares of the total 40,178 units sales volumes.
