Analysis and forecast of heavy truck in August of 2010

The gliding degree of commercial vehicle market in August is relatively large, and the production volumes of commercial vehicle are 302127, and it has sequentially increased 2.45%,＆ 6.67% by the same time. The accumulated production volumes are 2,840,597, and it has accumulated increased 33.92%. The sales volumes in August are 303,305, and it has sequentially increased 1.83%, ＆ 8.24% by the same time. Accumulated sales volumes are 2,896,480, and it has accumulated increased 37.61%. The market share of commercial vehicles from Jan to Aug is 25.01%, and it is equal to the value of 25.26% in 2009.           

I The heavy truck market in August

It is disclosed by statistics of China auto society that the sales volumes of heavy truck in August is only 64842, and it has decreased over 7.61%. The market demands of tractor are also decreased over 20% in August. However, dumper and special vehicles have been recovered slightly. Sales volumes of heavy truck from Jan to August are nearly 720,000, and it has increased 86.76% by same time.  

The monthly sales volumes of heavy truck are the followings: production volumes of heavy truck are 16,482, the chassis with cabin are 26,133, and the semi-trailer tractors are 21435.They have respectively increased 68.89%, 12.09% and -15%. The sales volumes of heavy truck are 16704, and chassis with cabin are 27089, and the semi-trailer tractors are 21049, which have increased 67.01%, 17.56% and -11.66%. Sales volumes of heavy truck in August are increased 14.02% by same time in 2009 with sales volumes of 56,871.            

II Tractor Market in August

According to the monthly report of heavy truck in August that the sales volumes of chassis with cabin, and truck have been recovered. However, the sales volumes of tractor have been obviously decreased. The decrease of tractor volumes has been affected “seasonal requirements”, and it is the lowest volumes since July in 2009 of 14 consecutive months.

It is hoped that the lowest demands point is not the market turn point, if it is so, the decreasing of the market will be seriously.

III Heavy truck market from Jan to August

Sales volume of heavy truck, chassis with cabin and tractor are all rapidly increased. It is disclosed by statistics that accumulated production volumes of heavy truck market from Jan to August are 709,173, and it has increased 84.52% by same time. Accumulated sales volumes are 719,046, and it is increased 86.76% by same time compared with the sales volumes of 385012 in 2009.      

Sales volumes from Jan to August have completed 113.03% compared with total volumes of 636171 in 2009. The specific figures are the followings. Production volumes of heavy truck, chassis with cabin and semi-trailer tractor are respectively 171825, 289411, and 247937. They have increased 95.99%, 51.38% and 135.05% by same time. Sales volumes of heavy truck, chassis with cabin and semi-trailer tractor are respectively 174705, 294444 and 249897, and they have increased 96.37%, 56.83% and 130.76% by same time.       

IV Competition status of heavy truck in Jan to August

Accumulated sales volumes of FAW heavy trucks in August are 161,425 in accordance with heavy truck industry statistics of China Auto Society. The market share of FAW heavy truck is ranking the first. Sales volumes of Sinotruk and Dongfeng are equal to each other, and the accumulated sales volumes are over 140,000. Accumulated sales volumes of Shaanxi heavy truck are 84,341, which has created a new high in the history. Sales volumes of Foton Auman have surpassed 68,613, and the market share is less than 10%. Accumulated sales volumes of Beiben are 31,472, and the market share has been raised.     

V The forecast of heavy truck market in Sep

August is becoming the lowest point with monthly sales volume of heavy truck in accordance with heavy truck market trend and seasonal factor. Heavy truck market is hoped to be recovered in September, especially the special purpose vehicle, and tractor.

Moreover, heavy truck export demands are continuing recovering. As for the domestic heavy truck enterprises, the export areas are the new increase point of truck market.

It is predicted that the overall market demands of heavy truck from Oct to Nov are above 155,000.
