WEICHAI New Energy Launches LANDKING Trucks in Chile to Support Green Logistics
Santiago, Chile(chinatrucks.com)--On November 13, 2024, WEICHAI New Energy officially launched its LANDKING series of light trucks in Santiago, Chile, marking the company’s first entry into the Chilean market. The event attracted over 120 attendees, including local media, dealers, industry customers, and senior executives from its partner, Indumotora. During the event, WEICHAI New Energy introduced a diverse range of both electric and traditional fuel-powered light trucks and mini trucks, including the LANDKING EH, ER, H, and R series, offering innovative solutions to support the region’s green logistics development.
WEICHAI New Energy's leadership shared the company’s vision for the new energy sector, highlighting Chile’s crucial role in South America’s transition to green logistics. They expressed strong confidence in the performance of the LANDKING series in the Chilean market. The event also featured a selection of models from the 3.5 to 18 tons LANDKING series. These trucks, available in both electric and traditional fuel options, are designed to meet the needs of various short and long-haul logistics applications.
Offering Multiple Logistics Solutions for the Chilean Market
EH Series Electric Light Truck: Designed for urban logistics, this truck features a 96 kWh blade battery that offers a range of over 320 kilometers. It is powered by a 120 kW flat wire motor and uses a durable chassis with a mid-mounted battery layout. This configuration allows the vehicle to adapt to various complex urban conditions.
ER Series Electric Mini Truck: Perfect for narrow streets and underground parking lots, this mini truck offers a range of over 200 km and features a large cargo area to meet the personalized needs of urban logistics users.
R Series Fuel-powered Mini Truck: Equipped with a WEICHAI 2.3Q diesel engine, FAST transmission, and HanDe rear axle, this mini truck is known for its reliability and fuel efficiency, making it ideal for heavy cargo.
H Series Fuel-powered Light Truck: Available in two power options, 148 HP and 158 HP, and featuring a FAST transmission, this light truck is powerful yet easy to drive. It has a high-end interior design with a 12.3-inch floating central screen and panoramic camera.

During the test drives, guests experienced the powerful performance and smooth handling of the LANDKING series trucks.
