FTXT Signs Hydrogen Cooperation Agreement with Brazilian Entities
On November 6, the Governor of Minas Gerais State (MG), Mr. Romeu Zema Neto, and his delegation visited FTXT's Shangran Power Park, part of Great Wall's hydrogen energy division. During the visit, they had in-depth discussions on green hydrogen technology and the application of hydrogen fuel cell trucks. The meeting also witnessed the signing of a hydrogen energy cooperation memorandum between FTXT, Great Wall Brazil, the State Economic Development Secretariat (SEDE), the State Investment Promotion Agency (Invest Minas), and the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UNIFEI).
According to the memorandum, FTXT, in collaboration with Great Wall Brazil, will deliver hydrogen-powered heavy trucks and jointly create a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle demonstration project in Minas Gerais. Together with SEDE, Invest Minas, and UNIFEI, the parties will leverage their expertise, experience, technology, and resources to drive the development of the hydrogen energy industry and green transportation transformation in Minas Gerais.
The signing ceremony was attended by Governor Romeu Zema Neto, FTXT Chairman Zhang Tianyu, and key officials, including Fernando Passario, Minister of Economic Development, João Paulo Braga, President of Invest Minas, Edson Bortoni, President of UNIFEI, Thiago Sugahara, EGA Manager of Great Wall Brazil, and Chen Xuesong, President of FTXT.
Also present at the signing ceremony were key figures from the MG state government, including Marcelo Aro, Minister of the Interior, Ronaldo Baquet, Minister of Invest Minas, as well as representatives from Great Wall International, Great Wall Brazil, FTXT's overseas business team, and others.
On the same day, Governor Zema Neto and his delegation visited FTXT's Shanghai showroom and viewed hydrogen-powered vehicles provided by FTXT. The visit offered them a deeper understanding of Great Wall Hydrogen and FTXT’s development history, technical reserves, and application demonstrations. They also engaged in discussions on business expansion plans in the Brazilian market and the details of the newly signed project cooperation.
All parties expressed their hope to jointly promote the practical application of hydrogen energy vehicles in Minas Gerais by leveraging advanced hydrogen technologies and comprehensive solutions. They also look forward to exploring diversified cooperation in more fields, contributing to Brazil’s hydrogen industry and its green, sustainable development.
Previously, FTXT, as a key part of Great Wall’s hydrogen energy division, has continued to expand in Brazil, attracting attention from the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Brazil, Geraldo Alckmin, and various government officials. FTXT’s initiatives have led to visits and business exchanges with major Brazilian institutions, including the Brazilian Industrial Development Agency, the National Confederation of Industry, the State of Espírito Santo, and various industry associations.
The official signing of the hydrogen energy cooperation memorandum with Minas Gerais marks a new chapter in FTXT’s development in the Brazilian market. Moving forward, FTXT will continue to leverage its global presence, expanding the hydrogen energy market in Latin America and beyond, and contribute to the global energy transition and green transformation.
