Microvast, Pline Ink Deal to Build a Battery Plant in South Korea
Microvast and South Korea's Pline Motor have recently announced a strategic partnership to establish a new battery manufacturing plant in South Korea. The new facility is expected to highlight both parties' significant advancements in battery manufacturing technology, further positioning Microvast and Pline Motor as key players in the new energy vehicle sector.
According to the agreement, Microvast will supply licensing, technology transfer, and necessary production technology information for battery system manufacturing as part of its collaboration with Pline Motor. The construction of the new battery facility is scheduled to begin at the end of 2024, and be completed with mass production starting by the first half of 2026.
The collaboration between Microvast and Pline will not only help both companies make progress in battery manufacturing but will also bring new energy to the electric vehicle market in South Korea and around the world.
This collaboration is an important step for Microvast and Pline in their globalization strategy. Both companies hope to work together to continuously drive the development and innovation of the electric vehicle industry.
