Dongfeng Trucks Delivers 400 Smart Trucks to ZTO
On August 16, Dongfeng Trucks. and Zhongtong Express held a signing and delivery event in Yuyao, Zhejiang, marking the start of their smart logistics partnership. At the event, Dongfeng delivered 400 Dongfeng Tianlong flagship KX smart trucks to Zhongtong.
Dongfeng's VP of Sales, Xue Linyi, said that delivering these 400 smart trucks will lay a strong foundation for future collaboration. The trucks, with their advanced features, will be more fuel-efficient, easier to operate, and safer, adding value to Zhongtong Express’s business.
The Dongfeng Tianlong KX trucks come with cutting-edge technology designed for long-distance transport. They meet needs for power, fuel economy, safety, and comfort, enhancing overall operational value.
For example, the trucks feature an “all-redundant electronic control chassis” system, which has backup designs for steering, braking, and power systems. This reduces risks from system failures and improves driving precision and efficiency. It also supports future upgrades for more advanced driving functions.
The trucks are equipped with a Cummins Z13 engine, Cummins Eaton AMT transmission, and Dongfeng 465 rear axle, offering strong performance and smart fuel savings. They also have 360-degree sensors for complete environmental awareness and are designed to meet lifecycle reliability standards of up to 1.6 million kilometers.
To handle the challenges of autonomous driving, the trucks use advanced sensing, adaptive control, and smart decision-making algorithms for “end-to-end” NOA (Navigate On Autopilot) technology. They also feature an L2+ level smart cockpit with various interactive and safety features, improving driver comfort and safety.
With over 100 million kilometers of commercial operation and a 0-accident safety record, these trucks feature 95-99% automation in their mileage, which significantly reduces the driver’s workload. With the fuel consumption cutting by 3%-9%, these trucks are expected to bring even greater operational value to Zhongtong Express.
