JAC Strengthens Partnership with CATL, to Use Tianxing Batteries in Its Trucks
On July 4, 2024, CATL's commercial power battery brand "CATL Tianxing" was officially launched, which will be first used in products like JAC's No.1 Shuailing ES6. This marks a major step forward in their collaboration in the new energy sector.
The "Tianxing" products feature four major technology advantages—super safety, ultra-fast charging, ultra-long lifespan, and extended range—designed for new energy commercial vehicles. This initiative aims to establish the "CATL Tianxing" brand and meet the demands of commercial vehicle users for longevity, efficiency, and profitability.
The use of 'Tianxing' demonstrates JAC's innovation in the field of new energy commercial vehicles, and is expected to bring better performance and user experience for products like JAC No. 1 Shuailing ES6.
In January 2024, JAC and CATL signed a strategic cooperation agreement focusing on battery supply, introduction of battery swapping technology, and joint development of new technologies.
Since signing the agreement, CATL has continuously provided JAC with high-integration, high-performance power battery solutions leveraging its exceptional technological prowess and product advantages. Meanwhile, JAC has integrated CATL's battery technology into a range of products, including new energy light-duty trucks, heavy-duty trucks, passenger vehicles, and buses, benefiting from its deep market insights and strong R&D capabilities.
In the future, both parties plan to strengthen strategic cooperation in new energy vehicle development, R&D team formation, brand promotion, product marketing, quality cultivation, customer service, and talent development. Together, they aim to achieve significant business growth, actively advance the development of the new energy vehicle industry.
