Eve Energy's US JV Breaks Ground on Battery Plant in Mississippi
On July 2, Eve Energy announced the commencement of construction for its joint venture lithium iron phosphate battery company, known as AMPLIFY CELL TECHNOLOGIES LLC (referred to as "ACT company") in the state of Mississippi, USA.
Initial shipments from the factory are projected to commence in 2026, with the three foreign partner companies and their affiliates slated to be major customers, procuring a significant portion of the factory's output. This initiative underscores Eve Energy's strategic commitment to expanding its footprint in the North American market while contributing to local economic growth through advanced battery technology.
ACT company, independently operated and jointly owned by Eve Energy's wholly-owned subsidiary EVE ENERGY US HOLDING LLC ("Eve Energy US"), along with Cummins, Daimler Trucks, and PACCAR, will specialize in manufacturing square-shaped lithium iron phosphate batteries. These batteries are primarily targeted for the North American commercial vehicle sector, with an anticipated annual production capacity of approximately 21GWh. The project is expected to create over 2000 job opportunities in the local area.
