SANY Made the List to Global Top 50 Engineering Machinery
On June 12th, the "China Construction Machinery" magazine, in conjunction with the Summit of Global Top 50 Engineering Machinery Manufacturers, released the list of the global top 50 engineering machinery manufacturers for 2024. Five Hunan-based enterprises, including Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., Zoomlion Construction machinery manufacturing company, China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Corporation Limited, Sunward Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd., and Hunan Sinoboom Intelligent. Equipment Co., Ltd., were selected, ranking 7th, 10th, 33rd, 43rd, and 44th respectively. Notably, Hunan Sinoboom Intelligent. Equipment Co., Ltd saw a rise of 4 places compared to the previous year.
The Global top 50 enterprises came from 12 countries including the United States, Japan, China, Sweden, Germany, South Korea, Finland, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Austria, and Canada. Among them, Chinese enterprises dominate the list with 13 representatives, showcasing the country's significant presence in the global construction machinery manufacturing sector.
According to the rankings, the total sales of 13 Chinese manufacturers amounted to $41.826 billion, with 44.24% of the sales revenue coming from overseas markets. This represents an almost eightfold increase from the 5% recorded a decade ago.
Since the beginning of this year, a large number of leading machinery enterprises have also been accelerating their pace towards overseas markets. For instance, Hunan Sinoboom Intelligent. Equipment Co., Ltd. has established subsidiaries in the Middle East and Brazil, while Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co., Ltd. has set up an integrated center in Vietnam, effectively implementing its strategy of overseas localization.
Overseas markets are experiencing significant growth. Hunan's engineering machinery products have taken a leading position in emerging markets and countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, and have also achieved breakthroughs in European and American markets. According to Li Lei, Deputy General Manager of Overseas Marketing at Sany, the company has achieved outstanding results in sales in the European and North American markets, with a year-on-year increase of up to 120%.
