28 JAC Pickup Trucks Were Delivered to Kyrgyzstan
KYRGYZSTAN, MAY 16, 2024 /chinatrucks.com/ --On the morning of 13 May 2024 (local time), JAC delivered 28 JAC pick-up trucks to the State Grid Company under the Kyrgyz Ministry of Energy in the capital Bishkek in the presence of Kyrgyz Prime Minister Akylbek Zhaparov.
Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Akylbek Zhaparov noted that the Ministry of Energy is an important ministry for ensuring the country’s energy security and the well-being of the people. Over the past few years, various industries in Kyrgyzstan have suffered from power cuts during peak periods, which has severely impaired economic development. As the standard of living improves, it is hard to imagine people living without electricity. In recent years, Kyrgyzstan has accelerated the reform of state institutions and increased its budget for public procurement. 28 pick-up trucks purchased by the State Grid Company will be used immediately to inspect power lines in major cities such as Bishkek, Osh and Bakent in order to cope with summer peaks in electricity consumption, to make the supply of power more secure and reliable for the Kyrgyz people and inject new impetus into Kyrgyzstan’s economy.
There are only a few new vehicles in Kyrgyzstan, as its economy is relatively underdeveloped and there are no restrict for the import of used vehicles. With a focus on the public sector and corporate procurement, the Central Asia division has taken the initiative to help the dealers to adapt the market strategy to the local conditions, and has successively secured large orders from customers such as the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Supreme Court, the State Frontier Defense General Administration, the Manas International Airport, the Otunke Gold Mine and other key customers.
JAC worked closely with the dealer on the project to complete the transfer, customs clearance and delivery of the vehicles within a very short period of time, which was highly praised by the Kyrgyz State Grid Company. Next, JAC will work with local dealers to support the operation of the vehicles and further expand its presence in Kyrgyzstan.
