Mexico is the seventh largest auto producer in the world, as well as the largest auto market and manufacturing center in Latin America with a relatively complete automotive manufacturing industry chain. With the rapid development of the Mexican economy and foreign trade, the demand for trucks is increasing year on year.
FAW Jiefang entered the Mexican market since 2018 and set up its KD production plant, and started terminal sales in 2019. Now, FAW Jiefang has already had more than 20 dealers in the main city of Mexico. With the advantages of efficiency, reliability, fuel economy and comfort, Jiefang trucks have obtained the systematic competitiveness against its rivals and entered into a rapid growth phase.
The Mexican market has also made a breakthrough with FAW Jiefang's continuous expansion in recent years. Its annual export volume of complete trucks soared to 45,000 units in the year 2023. From January to February 2024, Jiefang exported a record 525 trucks to the Mexican market.
