First Weichai NEV Light Trucks Shipping to Ecuador
Ecuador, November 28, 2023 /chinatrucks.com/ --On November 21, 61 Weichai NEV light trucks were shipped from Qingdao, China to Ecuador.This delivery marks another milestone achievement of Weichai's global localization strategy and its formal entry into the South American market.
The trucks exported is among the best-selling models in overseas markets. Equipped with Weichai engine, FAST transmission and HANDE axle, it offers a strong power, low fuel consumption and reliable performance. In addition to powertrain, it adopts the third generation Japanese-tuned chassis system that offers light weight, high load-carrying capacity and stability.
The trucks exported are slightly different from those sold in domestic China, which is labeled with “SDAC” logo, meaning, “super duty weichai commercial”.
Ecuador has been seen as an important market in South America in recent years as Weichai's internationalization strategy for new energy commercial vehicles continues to move forward. Weichai have reached a strategic partnership with Automekano, a well-known local automobile company. With a sales network spreading across the country, Automekano will provide great support for Weichai's development in the region.
On November 11, 2022, Weichai New Energy Commercial Vehicles officially signed an order of 1,000 light trucks with KAH ABTO International Automobile Group. On March 31 2023, the first batch of 15 Weichai electric light trucks ordered by AUTOKID in February, were shipped from the Chinese port to the Philippines. On October 19, LAND KING was launched in Dominican Republic.
With this successful export to Ecuador, Weichai will expand its overseas presence. With a strong brand image over the years, known for its innovative and high-quality products, Weichai New Energy Commercial Vehicles is becoming increasingly popular in overseas market.
