Skywell Invests ¥1.2B to Build Factory for Production of Electric Heavy Truck
On 16, October, Skywell and PanZhihua authorities reach a partnership agreement to set up a factory in the region.
With an investment of ¥1.2B, the facilities will mainly focus on the prodution of new energy battery, new energy vehicles (including trucks for mining purpose and muck trucks) and spare parts. The project is expect to bring total plant capacity to 9000 units of special vehicles once both phrase one and two completed.
Skywell is a high-tech enterprise focus on the development, production, sales and service of new energy vehicles and components. It has begun expanding into electric passenger and special vehicles market since 2018. Now a wide range of products, including electric dump trucks, kitchen garbage trucks and detachable container garbage trucks have been provided with an annual production capacity of 50 thousand units.
In the year 2019, Skywell went up by 30 percent YoY, a growth higher than the industry level, and ranked No.2 in electric bus sales. By 2025, it is projected to generate ¥50 billion in annual revenue.
