China Continues to Strengthen its Position in US Auto Parts Market
www.chinatrucks.com: According to the latest statistics, China exported a total amount of auto spare parts with a total worth of 11.13 billion USD from Jan. to Jul. this year, up by 5.9% year on year. In the meantime, Mexico, as one of the neighbours of USA, exported 30.55 billion USD auto spare parts to the US. Given this, China is now becoming the biggest rival of Mexico in the US auto spare parts market.
According to Mr. Bustamante, General Manager of Mexican INA, China exceeded Canada and became the second largest auto parts supplier for the USA in 2013. Recently, INA from Mexico, OESA from the USA and APMA from Canada also jointly held a conference to evaluate the quality and safety standards of auto parts in the North American market and was planning to make some policy changes accordingly.
