JAC Celebrates its 50th Anniversary
www.chinatrucks.com: On May 20, 2014, Anhui-based Jianghuai Automobile Co., Ltd. (also known as JAC) held a grand ceremony to celebrate its 50 year birthday in its technological center in Hefei, capital city of Anhui Province. Nearly 600 guests, including its customers, dealers, and employees as well as journalists from various media attended the ceremony.
Raising the Curtain
After raising the curtain of the theme sculpture for its 50th Anniversary, attendants recalled the auto maker’s history expressed their good wishes for the company’s promising future. Heated discussions were held on such topics as the independent development of China’s auto industry.
Theme
Since its establishment in 1964, JAC has experienced ups and downs all along. In 2002, the introduction of Jianghuai Ruifeng marked the company’s official entry into the passenger vehicle market. In the next five years, Ruifeng were constantly upgraded, preparing the company’s way into sedan market in 2007. Later, the company rolled out such brands as Binyue, Ruiying and compact Heyue sedan cars, laying a solid foundation for the company’s pursuit of both commercial vehicles and passenger vehicles.
Also at the ceremony, attendants all had the opportunity to view the company’s 50 years development through a self-made documentary. An Jin, president of the auto maker pointed out, “China’s ancient sage Confucius once said, ‘at 50, I know my heaven sent duty’. The wise words also apply for Jianghuai’s development. From a tiny business, it has steadily grown into one of the leading auto makers in China, providing various vehicle products for customers from all over the globe.” He also added, “our three million customers’ trust and confidence are indispensable for our today’s achievements.”
New Product
Besides various celebratory activities, Jianghuai Automobile Club was officially established, representing a huge step forward for expanding its market presence.
