Faw Wuxi Diesel Engine Sees Double-Digit Growth in Exports
www.chinatrucks.com: In current severe competition, Faw Jiefang Automotive Company.Ltd Wuxi Diesel Engine Works wins orders one after another. From January to October, Wuxi Diesel Engine has broken through 11,700 units in exports, up by 11% year on year. Both sales volume and market share increase, and its product mix tend to be more technical.
Brand marketing
The eye-catching sales volume is attributed to its high quality and the accurate marketing strategy of overseas department. In 2013, Wuxi Diesel Engine launches a new service mode abroad. It establishes 6 new offices in Chile, South Africa and other countries. It not merely makes its overseas service catching up with international standard, but also finds out a breakthrough for export of stand-alone which forms a new growth point.
Currently, the prototypes of 4DW93-84E3 engine for light truck and 4DW93-84E4 engine for pickup have been delivered to West Asia area. In the meantime, its overseas department raises its international brand awareness through brand marketing. The inventory is increasing in Kazakhstan, Chile, South Africa, Vietnam and other countries.
This year, the overseas department also teams up with complete vehicle enterprises to realize export. In January, Wuxi Diesel Engines wins an order of 60 CA6DL1-30 engines carried on FAW Jiefang Qingdao CA4161 exporting to Indonesia, an order of 100 4DW turbocharged inter-cooling engines exporting to Vietnam together with other spare parts through Hunan Tongxin, and orders of 300 generator set engines exporting to South America, Brazil and Russia.
Optimize product structure and raise the share of products assorted to complete vehicles
By a series of strategic cooperation and breakthroughs in key areas, the exported product mix is more and more rational. From Jan. to October, the engines assorted to exported Hengwei engines account for 34.2% in total exported products. Wuxi Diesel Engine sees a rising proportion of exported assorted products, 6 percentages higher than that of last year.
Data also shows that Wux Diesel Engine also sees a rising proportion of engines assorted to exported buses, dumpers and tractors.
