Foton Releases a Roadmap for 2014 New Products
www.chinatrucks.com: On November 21, 2013, the 11th Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition is grandly opened. Foton showcases its MP-X S, MP-X E, View, Forland and SUP pickup. At the exhibition, Foton also releases a roadmap for new products of 2014 and reveals the final list of its “Polar Driver” and “Polar Dreamer”.

2014 Foton to develop six categories
Data shows that Foton sells almost 500,000 units in the first three quarters (up by 5.8% year on year) despite of an overall depression of the truck industry. Foton has been making breakthroughs in technology and R&D. In March, Foton’s first developed online software platform is available; in September, Auman GTL successfully completes wind tunnel test at Sichuan Mianyan wind tunnel laboratory; in October, Foton joins hands with Shandong University and Weifang municipal government to set up Shandong University Foton Automobile Institute and Foton Shandong Engineering Institute. Foton will develop six sections of new-energy auto, engineering machinery, new-energy battery, finance, modern logistics and IT service.
At the exhibition, Foton also releases the roadmap of new products in 2014. Foton is going to attach importance to three key products: micro vehicle for suburban transportation market, light truck with European style, and View G7 based on current Foton View.

The launch of a series of new products enables Foton to expand and extend product category to micro vehicle and business vehicle with European style. Particularly, the joining of micro vehicle allows Foton to make development in 6 categories. The diversified product portfolio meets customers’ needs and enhances the coverage and influence of Foton products.
