Foton Wins Two Key Projects at Changsha Commercialization of Research Findings Fair
www.chinatrucks.com: On November 11, 2013, the two-day Commercialization of Research Findings Fair is held in Changsha. Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of NPC Chen Zhili, Vice Minister of Ministry of Science and Technology Cao Jianlin attend the opening ceremony and the fair. Foton’s engineering vehicle division displays Rowo, Forland Jingang and other products. What’s more rewarding is Foton engineering vehicle division wins two scientific projects during the fair, further improving its brand image.
The fair takes full usage of technological, industrial and financing advantages and focus on matching Changsha’s advantageous industries with strategic projects. More than 50 complete vehicle manufacturers and spare parts suppliers in Hunan province such as Foton, Fiat, Mitsubishi, Bosch, BYD, etc. are invited to the fair as an industrial innovative strategic alliance, demonstrating the research findings of automotive industry in Hunan province and revealing the new pattern of Hunan’s automotive industry. The scientific research project “light weighted technology for trucks” project led by Foton engineering vehicle division has obtained partial results. Foton also brings the prototype of light-weighted truck to the fair which attracts much attention.

At the closing ceremony, a three-party collaborative project “To improve the technology of the air hybrid power of efficiency of internal combustion engine and variable valve timing system” is signed by Kong Chaoyang, Deputy Secretary of the party of Foton engineering vehicle division, professor AmirKhajepour, Director of Automotive Research Center of Canadian University of Waterloo and professor Liu Jian, Assistant to the dean of Machinery and Carrying Engineering School of Hunan University. The project is worth 12 million yuan.

In addition, Foton also signs a collaborative project with Hunan University on “Hunan commercial automotive manufacturing engineering technology”.
