Yuchai: Marching towards a Whole Year Target of 470,000 Units
www.chinatrucks.com: In the first half of 2013, Yuchai enjoys a fairly high growth in sales of motors, much higher than the average in this industry. This is the first growth of motors over recent years. On July 20, 2013, management of Yuchai and marketing pillars gather at Yulin, Guangxi province, to make a summery on the marketing in the first half year and arrange marketing work in the second half year, targeting at a total sales volume of 470,000 units for the whole year.
With the development of China’s auto industry, starting from 2011, both global and Chinese auto market enters a new stage where growth rate falls to one-digital growth along with an end of 10-year blowout growth. Under such an environment, Yuchai seizes the rare opportunity of market recovery in the first half year and actively responds to the micro growth, achieving a rapid growth in sales of motors.
It is learnt that in the first half year, big changes happen in medium and large bus motors. Gas motors and hybrid motors grow at a rate of 35.8% and 386% respectively. Yuchai has distinguished advantages in the two sectors, thus making it remain No.1 in bus motor industry with a steady rising market share. With respect to trucks, the growth mainly comes from YC6M and YC6L as well as gas motors with growth rates higher than the average in the industry. In terms of general use engines, the agricultural machinery market is still hot. Yuchai’s general use engines maintain a considerable growth rate thanks to the support of agricultural machinery market despite of the declining engineering machinery. In addition, Yuchai also sees growth in exports.
General Manage of Yuchai Wu Qiwei says it is not easy to see growth in the first half year when the whole industry is in a difficult period. The growth is not only in sales, but also in operation quality and earnings. All these will lay a solid foundation for the development in the second half year and even next year.
At the meeting, the marketing work in the second half year is allocated and all the marketing staff is motivated to march toward the whole year target.
