FIAT to Co-develop Light Duty Truck With PSA
www.chinatrcks.com : Inside news goes that FIAT and PSA has reached an agreement to co-develop the new generation of light duty commercial vehicles, and manufacture delivery vans in Italy.
The two companies will share R&D costs of the vehicles, which will be produced in the Sevel Sud plant of Italy. For now, the plant is responsible for manufacturing of Ducato of FIAT, Boxer of Peugeot, Jumper of Citroen and other commercial vehicles.
In May, 2011, the two companies ceased their cooperation in developing of a medium duty delivery van. And PSA invested more than 750 million Euro to manufacture new kind of delivery van in Sevel Nord of France.
