CNHTC to establish commercial vehicle assembly plant in Indonesia

www.chinatrucks.com: China National Heavy-Duty Truck Group Corp. (CNHTC) signed a memorandum of understanding with PT Intraco Penta Tbk in Beijing on March 23, 2012 to set up a commercial vehicle assembly plant in Indonesia.
According to the memorandum of understanding, the Chinese truck maker will build a plant to produce CNHTC brand light- and heavy-duty trucks in Indonesia.
“Setting up plant abroad is a key measure of entering the international market for CNHTC,” said Liu Peimin, chairman of the Jinan-based company. Truck sales this year by orders in Indonesia are expected to reach 1,000 units, said Liu.
CNHTC received over 10,000 export orders in the first quarter of this year, an increase of 50 percent compared with the same period of 2011, according to company sources.
