Caterpillar plans to hit heavy truck market with the help of JAC

(chinatrucks.com, Dec 30, 2010) JAC has reached cooperation program with Caterpillar Inc and Navistar with total value of 586 million Euros, and the plan includes two programs, one is truck fabrication, and the other is engine manufacturer.   

The planned JV heavy duty truck company will establish at JAC manufacturer base located in Hefei. The initial capacity is 40,000. If the program processes smoothly, Caterpillar and Navistar groups will be elevated to the heavy truck market with 15 billion Euros. They will complete with Daimler and other European enterprises.
