Shaanxi new energy vehicle development seizes the market

(chinatrucks.com, Dec 14, 2010) Shaanxi group has taken lots of measures during the domestic heavy truck industry competition. The global first environmental protection bus cooperation program has hold the signing ceremony in Shaanxi at March of 2009. It represents that Shaanxi has got great achievements in terms of new energy technology development and actual applications. Shaanxi has announced at April of 2009 that it will set up the first national “heavy truck new energy lab” in Shanghai, and published the first announcement of China heavy truck industry “2009 Shaanxi Heavy Truck Green Announcement”. Thereafter, Shaanxi has began the campaign of new energy self brand heavy truck.

Shaanxi group has cooperated with Xi’an Communication University and Chana University, etc, to conduct heavy duty commercial vehicle R&D with single fuel natural gas engines in accordance with the market demands since 2005. It has quickly accumulated very precious experiences, and the solid foundation has been laid for R&D of new energy commercial vehicles.   

During “eleven five” period, Shaanxi group has shouldered two important programs themed with “Nation 863” new energy commercial vehicle, and has successfully developed LNG and CNG large horsepower heavy truck and mini electricity axle, and other new energy products. It has owned many intellectual patents and formed the industrialization process.

The accumulated sales volumes of LNG and CNG heavy truck have surpassed 10,000 since 2007. It ranks the first place in heavy truck industry and the market share has taken the first place as well.
