Arvin Meritor sets up new production base in Nanjing
(chinatrucks.com, Nov 4, 2010) Arvin Meritor holds the foundation-laying ceremony in Nanjing for the before announced new technology center and production base on Nov 3rd, 2010. Lots of government staff, related department leaders and partial customers have attended the activity.
The new plant and technology center with the investment of 16 million Dollars will take 32,000 square meters in order to improve the professional technology support and provide products solution plan and localization production capacity.
The foundation-laying ceremony is hold by Arvin Meritor in Nanjing
During the total investment with 16 million Dollars, 8 million Dollars will be used to set up China technology R&D center. The center will become the important part of global technology network. The global technology network will be distributed in America, Italy, British and India and other technology centers. Besides the technology center and production base, new Nanjing plant will become after-sale business center of Arvin Meritor. As the leader in commercial vehicle area and re-production service area, the center will improve the ability to provide after-sale service in China and international market.
