Daimler and Wal-Mart promote hybrid truck
(chinatrucks.com, Oct 28, 2010) It is reported by foreign media that Daimler North America Company has announced recently that Daimler will cooperate with Wal-Mart to promote a hybrid electrical truck recently.
The truck is quite environmental friendly and has been equipped with diesel engine and hybrid power system. The hybrid power system has been applied on the advanced battery storage technology.
It is learned that Wal-Mart is the long term customer of Daimler North America Truck Company. Both parties will cooperate at engineering development area.
“Wal-Mart is pleased to develop new technology with Daimler North America Truck Company, which has raised the efficiency and reduced the operation cost.” Chris Sultemeier, the vice president of Wal-Mart transportation department, quotes.
