Volkswagen AG to set a new target in 2010
(chinatrucks.com, Sep 25, 2010) Commercial vehicle department of Volkswagen AG has announced on Sep 21th, 2010 that sales volumes of commercial vehicles at the first eight months in 2010 have increased 18%, reaching 269,800, and the department will create a new high target in 2010.
Sales volume of auto at the first half of 2010 have increased to 159,000, and the sales volume at the first half in 2009 was 135,000.The sales revenue at the first half has increased from 26,600,000 Euros to 354,000,000 Euros.
As the largest auto manufacturer, Volkswagen AG is considering the restructure of commercial vehicle department, at the same time, Volkswagen AG will integrate the department to VW sedan brand to obtain the predicted increase of few months. Commercial vehicle department of Volkswagen AG is producing light commercial vehicles, such as, Crafter, Multivan and new Amarok pickup.
Volkswagen AG has sold the heavy truck business in Brazil to MAN SE. Volkswagen AG is the largest shares holders of MAN SE, holding 29.9% shares. Volkswagen AG aims to establish Europe truck union of Swedish Scania AB heavy truck, Volkswagen AG and MAN.
