JAC has signed agreement with Navistar and NC2
(chinatrucks.com, Sep 17, 2010) Navistar has signed JV company agreement with JAC on Sep 16th 2010. Both parties will together research, produce and sell the advanced commercial diesel engine in China. Furthermore, NC2, the JV of Navistar and Caterpillar, has also signed the agreement with JAC, and both parties will together to research, produce and sell advanced commercial vehicle in China.
It is learned by reporter that the engine JV of Navistar and JAC will set up a research design center in Anhui province, mainly studying the applied engineering development, product design and technology innovation and other relative work taking advantage of Euro IV and Euro V standard technology. These works are to support the development of JV Company of JAC and NC2, and to satisfy the requirements of JAC auto series and engine.
JAC signs agreement with Navistar and NC2
The engine JV Company will also set up a plant in Hefei, especially producing MaxxForce diesel engine, and the engines will only be provided to China. The cooperation between JAC and Navistar and NC2 makes the subjected heavy duty autos, including JAC Sword and Gallop as well as TranStar, have integrated lots of advanced technologies. It will satisfy the growing demands of China market. It is predicted that sales volume of JAC truck will reach 200,000 in 2010.
