Industry Leaders Gather In Beijing To Address Diesel Emissions Legislation
(chinatrucks.com, Feb.03, 2010)According to CAAM (China Association of Automobile Manufacturers), the commercial vehicle/truck production and fleet sales from January to November 2009 grew by 24.46% and 21.84 respectively and overall over 20% production and sales growth rates of the year are anticipated. Since there will be more trucks and buses in the automotive market to meet tighter future emissions limits, it has become even more urgent to understand future emissions standards and to find effective ways of reducing engine emissions.
Amongst the line up at DEC Asia 2010, Wu Xuefang, Executive Director, The Institute of Environmental Standard of Ministry of Environmental Protection of China and Feng Yuqiao, Executive Director, Vehicle Emission Control Center, Beijing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau will provide insights into current and future emissions reduction legislations as well as analysis on how the legislations are being implemented and impacting the diesel emission sector.
Reviewing Integer's Diesel Emissions Conferences in Asia, they have successfully attracted over 250 delegates from the global diesel emissions and automotive community for two consecutive years since 2008. For DEC Asia 2010, more important market players such as Dongfeng Motor, FAW Jiefang, CNHTC, SAIC-Iveco Hongyan Commercial Vehicle Company and several leading truck and engine manufacturers are all participating. Tim Cheyne, Managing Director at Integer said, "The CV/truck industry in China must review their emissions reduction strategies to stay competitive in this growing market. DEC Asia 2010 is recognized as a pivotal platform for diesel emission professionals to stay in touch with industry developments, network with colleagues facing similar challenges and ultimately fine tune business strategies to meet with pressing deadlines while maintaining profits".
