Shannxi HanDe Axle Co., Ltd was jointly invested and built by Weichai Power Co., Ltd. & Shaanxi Automobile Group Co., Ltd on March 23th, 2003, with its predecessor as axle plant of Shaanxi Automobile Manufacturing plant. The company was classified as high-tech enterprise, consisting of two plants in Xi’an and Baoji for 200,000 square meters workshop space. It has over 3800 staffs, including more than 600 engineers and various technicians. The company’s registered capital was USD 50 million and annual sales revenue is USD 800 Million.

HanDe has awarded as Top 500 China Machinery Enterprises and China 100 Best Automobile Parts Enterprises for years. The axle assembly named by HanDe was honored as title of China top brand and was valued as the well-known trademark in China. In the year of 1984, 1999 and 2009, 5T axle of SX2430, 7T axle of SX2190 assembled for army utility off-road vehicles and participated in the 35th, 50th and 60th national anniversary of festival Parade in succession. The company was praised by national committee and central military committee for the excellent performance.

HanDe is integrated with R&D, manufacturing and marketing system in large scale and considered as the most scientific technical enterprise as well as the key manufacturing base for China heavy duty axles. A number of series axle assemblies in HanDe brand have served for China military heavy duty off-road vehicles and many famous China heavy duty commercial vehicles in batches.

At present, HanDe axle has 5 categories and over 100 different designs covering heavy & medium trucks utility axle, off-road axles, bus axles, tag axles, etc. The typical product includes: 5.5T-13T steering front axle, 13T-25T hub reduction axle, 10T-13T single reduction axle, 5T-9T steering driving front axle, 10T-16T tag axle, in which the hub reduction axle and single reduction axle is in the leading position in China domestic market relying on the unique technical advantage, super transmission torque and excellent loading capability.

HanDe keeps up the pace of international axle industry development and introduced the international advanced axle technology in the year of 1984 and 2004 respectively. By years of research, absorb and Re-innovation of the introduced technologies, HanDe is now leading technical capability of the industry. On June 18th, 2007, HanDe axle exported the technique to India as technical license. It is the first technology export of China automobile assembly, creates a new model of implementing international brand strategy for HanDe and also for China domestic automobile enterprises. This case marks the breakthrough of China automobile manufacturing industry from exporting products to exporting technology.

Since 2000, more than USD 250 million was cumulatively invested in technical improvement, production scale enlargement and company strength enhancing. So far, its annual production capacity consists of 430,000 front axles and 400,000 driving axles.  In addition, HanDe owns a National Axle Testing Center and a trial production workshop serving for testing requirements. These offer a strong R&D power for HanDe.

Per the service concept of Customer Satisfaction, over 600 appointed service stations spread all over the country has always providing comprehensive and high efficient warm service. Based on providing customer more reliable and efficient axles, HanDe has established over 60 advanced and professional manufacturing lines for axle housing, final drive case, gangway case, hub reduction case, diff case, hub, I beam, knuckle etc, as well as axle assembly and painting. Especially for axle housing line, HanDe makes use of automatic manufacturing line, flexible manufacturing unit and whole-housing finished machining process, greatly improved machining accuracy and efficiency, met requirements of high volume variety design production. Upon the spindle ends welding, HanDe adopts the international advanced electron beam welding and friction welding to ensure quality and efficiency. Regarding assembly, automatic measure and screw technique makes the products more reliable and stable.

The company focuses on modern and scientific upgrading of basic management as always by implementing ERP, Lean Production (TPS) and Comprehensive Budget Management system, enhancing the QC management by certified ISO/TS16949, ISO43000/18000 environment/professional healthy safe management system and China national military standard certification, strengthen cohesion and core competence of enterprise by building up excellent corporate culture.

HanDe is taking domestic market as basis and meanwhile have the whole world in view for its development strategy. Now, HanDe has built up a very good and stable cooperation relationship with over ten famous enterprises of heavy duty automobile, bus and special vehicle companies in the domestic market, such as Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile Co., Ltd, Dong Feng Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd., Zhengzhou Yutong Bus Co., Ltd., Suzhou Higer Bus Co., Ltd., Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Development Co., Ltd. and Shaanxi Tonly Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. etc. In the international market, the axle assembly has been supplied to over ten regions & countries throughout Europe, Asia, America, CIS countries etc. And the export volume has been ranking China No.1 stably for years. 

Relying on stable product quality and strong enterprise strength, HanDe axle maintains over 55% annual growth rate for the past seven years and realized leapfrog development. In 2010, the manufacturing and marketing to all kinds of axle assembly have exceeded 360,000 units. Till the end of Twelfth Five-Year program, HanDe will be built into a large modern axle enterprise with strong R&D, advanced technology, senior management, well-equipped facilities, and achieve an annual output for 1 million axle capacity and USD 1.6 billion values.
